Brian Johnson & Sons installed the venting only for my Napoleon gas stove. I was quoted $500.-$800. but charged $1800. without even a phone call. They used a higher priced high wind end cap in a sheltered area; Venting installed was scratched & covered up with a Sharpie; they did not use my venting that came with the stove but they did keep it & I was charged for new material. Office staff made me feel like I was an inconvenience when I had questions. It was a bad customer experience for me.
The Business Owner Replied:
I am sorry you still feel that this issue wasn't resolved. During our initial visit and review of your unit we provided an ESTIMATE on installation. At that time we asked for the model to review the installation manual. This was a unit that you the customer was supplying and we were to provide labour and a few fittings. Unfortunately there were venting materials necessary to install your fireplace to code that we had to supply. It was our understanding that we were to go ahead and install the unit. These items were ordered and installed, based on your request for us to install the unit that you supplied. I believe that I did explain that whenever we install a unit whether it is supplied by us or the customer it MUST meet all Code requirements. Also we compensated you over $400.00 to help in reducing the cost of the installation and a Loss of $400.00 for us.

I called BJ when another plumber failed to show up. I did not have running water for over a week. BJ does not deal with wells, so they were not able to do the work themselves. They offered me 2 other companies to try and even called me back to provide another company closer to my home. This company is truly professional and demonstrated their ability and commitment to go above and beyond when helping a person. Because of the referrals they gave me I was able to find a plumber who had my water up and running 2 days later. They put time and effort into helping me, for no profit. These people have integrity! Thank you ever so much!
